MindPlanning® is a unique proven method which enables students to plan and develop examination answers to discursive questions and pass easily. Developed over 28 years, the MindPlanning® Process has proven to significantly improve a students chance of passing their examinations.

MindPlanning® required an online software reinforcement tool to deliver the process. Moreover MindPlanning® required a coroprate identity, brand and web site to promote and sell the the software which is launched as a service from the web site itself... Software as a service (SaaS) is a model of software deployment where an application is hosted as a service provided to customers across the Internet.

Solution Delivered
MindPlanning’s goal was to reach a the global student population who annually sit accountancy exams with MindPlanning ‘s partner exam boards. An online e-learning software application and web site served as a perfect vehicle in which to deliver this requirement.

The new website incorporates the new brand and identity developed by Web Eminent and attention to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) was incorporated to ensure high page ranking among the leading search tools. The primary aim of the web site is to market, demo and ultimately sell the process to students. The web site’s function also served as a point at which the users purchase a software licence and exam products to use within the software application using the ecommerce functionality that is built-in. A user account system allowed users to manage their exam papers and products that they purchased.

The MindPlanning reinforcement software tool is accessed directly as a service via the web site using the users account credentials. Once logged in the software loads up with the exam papers and products that the student has purchased.

The tool itself has two core functions,  the first being online training and demonstration of the MindPlanning process using video tutorials to enable the education of the process to the student. The second function of the tool is the examination papers themselves which students use to test themselves and practice the MindPlanning process which they have previously been taught in the tutorial.

SaaS (Software as a Service) model served as the perfect model for MindPlanning. A subscription based license with expiry date that fell on the users exam date gives the student access for the period leading up to their examinations. Managed from a central location rather than locally on a users PC, the software is substantially easier to support as individual client installs are not required. The multi tenanted nature of the software centralised any feature and version updating, which removed the need for downloadable patches and upgrades of the software so all users would benefit from updates immediately. The delivery over the web also enabled customers to access applications remotely from an internet connected PC, ideal for students who need access from multiple locations. The software reinforcement tool architecture is built generically so that when a new exam board partners came on board or new exam papers became available these could be added to the system via an administration function and run within the application making it future proof.

A comprehensive secure administration portal is set up to allow administrators to manage and track user accounts, software usage, purchases and transactions. This allows for complete visibility of students using the reinforcement tool. The portal also allows for new exam products to be added to the system which would then be purchased by student from the web site and consequently accessed directly within the MindPlanning software tool.

Additionally the portal also allowed for total control of the web site content to ensure that all the latest information about products and exams is published easily.
